Italy excels in creativity and shamelessness in reinventing popular genres again and again, and turning them into new sub-genres. In this case Joe D'Amato combined cannibal horror with erotica. Laura Gemser slithers just as easily around women's and men's bodies, wild animals and cannibals. All of this is supported by a wonderfully fitting soundtrack by Nico Fidenco.
