Maar wat gebeurt er als er geen kleur is? Wanneer alles ONZICHTBAAR is? Wie kan HET niet zien? Welke eigenschap is DIT? Wat kunnen we ZIEN? En WAARVOOR?

Bij deze selectie video-werken presenteert curator Mario Gutiérrez Cru een aantal kunstenaars. Ze werken met video-kunst, waarbij ze zich geheel wijden aan kleur. Kleur is een daarbij niet enkel een onderdeel van het werk maar ze claimt kleur als onlosmakelijk onderdeel van het gehele werk.

Deze presentatie combineert geometrische eenheid (Grandegraphics) met het speelgoed uit onze jeugd. Het laat zien hoe dat zich de laatste jaren ontwikkeld heeft (Buby Canal, Unai Requejo). Van realiteit tot fantasie. Van het begin in een lege ruimte, tot het einde waar alles bedekt is (Federica Pecorelli, Sanglim Han). Van perfectie tot chaos, vanaf het allerbeste tot het allerslechtste in onze samenleving en onszelf. Zonder het tropische, de kracht van de kleuren en zijn muzikaliteit op te geven (Cristian Guardia).

But what happens when there is no COLOR? When everything is INVISIBLE? Who can´t see IT? What ability is THIS? What can we SEE? And for WHAT?

In this curatorial exhibition, Mario Gutiérrez Cru, presents a little selection of artists. They are working in video-art, dedicated to the idea of COLOR. As a total, not only as a part or as a selection of. Claiming the COLOR as hole piece of ART.

This show has the unity of the geometry (Grandegraphics), mixed with the childhood memories of ours toys and how they had developed in this last years (Buby Canal, Unai Requejo). From reality to fantasy. From the beginning, an empty space, to the end where everything is covered (Federica Pecorelli, Sanglim Han). From perfection to chaos, from the best to the worst of our civilization and ourselves. Without giving up the tropicalism and the power of the colors and their musicality (Cristian Guardia).
